Day 1: Arrival in Podgorica – Transfer to Budva, Budva Walking Tour, free time

Upon your arrival at Podgorica Airport, our driver/guide will greet you for a comfortable transfer to Budva. We will stop at a sightseeing spot above Adriatic Coast, and continue our journey to the coastal gem, Budva, where your hotel will be located.

After check-in, take a leisurely stroll with your private guide to the city center. Explore Budva Old City and discover its history and legends. Free time.

Day 2: Discover Boka Bay: Tivat – Perast – Our Lady of the Rocks Island – Kotor

Rise and shine! After the breakfast, we’ll head to one of 25 world’s most beautiful bays, and a UNESCO heritage sight, Perast.

On our way to Perast, baroque town with authentic stone houses, we will have several panoramic stops where you’ll enjoy the best views of Montenegro. After taking a walk in Perast, we will take a boat ride to the island of Our Lady of the Rock, where a 17th-century church, the patron saint of sailors and fishermen, is located. We will see the church and enter the museum with very interesting artefacts. Among other things, you will have the opportunity to see an extraordinary tapestry made by a sailor's wife over 25 years while waiting for him to return.

After Perast, we will visit Kotor, whose Old Town is under UNESCO protection. The town is surrounded by old walls over 4 km long, hiding palaces of noble families, richly decorated churches, and one of the oldest cathedrals in Europe – the Cathedral of St. Tryphon.

Day 3: Mini Montenegro Excursion: Cetinje – Lovćen – Njegusi – Kotor

Good morning. Today is all about exploring Montenegro's heart and soul. After breakfast, we'll embark on a beautiful adventure. The drive through the beautiful untouched landscapes to the former Montenegrin capital is impressive. Cetinje – the museum city will not leave anyone indifferent with its authentic architecture, numerous historical buildings, relics, and monasteries.

We will walk through the city, and visit the Museum of King Nikola and see the most significant exhibits from Montenegro's political, military, and cultural history. You will also see the residence of the last Montenegrin ruler and king, most of it being preserved as it is.

After Cetinje, we will visit Lovćen National Park, located in the outskirts of Cetinje. After experiencing the highest mausoleum in the world at 1659 meters above sea level, and 461 steps, we will visit the village of Njeguši, the cradle of the rulers from the Petrović dynasty. We recommend tasting the famous Njeguši cheese with homemade bread, as well as local wine or honey brandy.

The next wonder of Montenegro you will experience is a century old Kotor Serpentine Road featuring 25 switchbacks and going from 1000 meters above sea level, straight to Adriatic sea.

PROPOSED third DAY ITINERARY:

08:00 - 09:15 Leaving Budva and driving to Cetinje after breakfast

09:15 - 10:00 Sightseeing in Cetinje, finding out about the history of Montenegro and stories of our past

10:00 - 10:30 Visiting King Nikola Museum

10:30 - 11:30 Driving to Lovcen National Park and Museum

11:30 - 12:00 Climbing the mausoleum and enjoying the spectacular views

12:00 - 12:45 - Drive to Njegusi, with a panoramic stop, tasting local produces, prosciutto and cheese, together with a beer, wine or coffee

12:45 - 14:15 Going back to Budva via Serpentine road, one of the most spectacular roads in the World

We will go on a full-day excursion that will give us insight into the tradition, culture, history, and spectacular landscapes of Montenegro. Beautiful Kotor Bay from Njegusi village - one of the sights you will see on this excursion.

Day 4: Skadar Lake experience and transfer to Podgorica airport

Goodbye is hard, but let's make the last day memorable. Our full-day journey takes us to Lake Skadar National Park, the Balkans' largest lake which has a rich history and culture, as evidenced by numerous archaeological sites, medieval monasteries and fortresses, and architecture with fishing villages, old bridges, mills, and wells.

Pause for a stunning photo break at a viewpoint overlooking the Montenegrin coast. Dive into the rich history and wildlife of Lake Skadar, exploring Virpazar, a charming fishing village. Get ready for a boat cruise, featuring the famous curly pelicans – the icons of Lake Skadar. After enjoying Skadar Lake, we will taste traditional cuisine from this part of Montenegro, and later we’ll ensure a seamless private transfer to Podgorica Airport, wrapping up your Montenegro experience with a bow. Safe travels!
